Many of Us Have Done This Before - Turn Back!
Updated: Sep 22, 2023
If you’ve strayed away from the Most High’s written plans, the purpose and role that He has assigned to you in His word, you’ve been deceived and led astray by your sinful lusts and desires. The enemy has tricked you and made you excuse your purpose because you want things to happen on your terms, and the Word does not have the final authority in your life. John 14:15-31 says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Love for the Father is evidenced by our obedience to Him and His word. Our words, feelings, likes and dislikes, culture, or ideologies do not override the Word of Yah (God) that never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. If His position changes in our life, it's because we’ve detoured from a close relationship with him and obedience to the truth. The more we obey His word; we grow closer in relationship to Him because He transforms our hearts, minds, and spirits to be more like Him.
We must spend time with him and obey our Father to know Him. We read, absorb, and apply His word and fellowship with other hearers and doers. Then, His Spirit will be exalted in us, and He will reward us with spiritual blessings.
He is a great Yah, but we must choose to make Him great. Allow Him to shine through us. But, if we are too busy trying to be the center of the glitz and glam, to pursue our happiness above his righteousness, then we exalt ourselves like Lucifer and unleash the works of the flesh.
Yet, pride comes before a fall, and if we rebel against authority or usurp authority over headship, we will come into covenant with like-minded spirits that will continue to pull us deeper into sin, blindness, and delusion until we fall into the same ditch of judgment that was prepared for them. Don’t allow ties, family, or friends to pull you from His truth, hearing the truth, and obeying it. The word encourages us not to put those we love above Him; that’s idolatry. Christ even asked who his mother was, and he answered by stating that his people and his family do the will of the Father.
Yah’s (God’s) people don’t perish because the knowledge is unavailable; they perish because they reject it. They were hard-hearted, cold, selfish, narcissistic, self-centered, unforgiving, unwilling to receive correction, and prideful. But, the Father warns us that pride comes before a fall. Things may seem well amid fun, but it’s better to submit to His will and learn to have fun in His perfect plans for our lives than to open doors that will harm us. The Father’s plan is His perfect love for us. It’s to save us from folly and to protect us from the very real powers of darkness. May we learn to fall on the Rock now so that we won’t be crushed by the Rock later.

There’s hope! If there’s air in your lungs, and blood flowing through your veins, turn now to the King in everything. He cares about it all. The Father compels us to seek His Kingdom and righteousness first, and the provision will come. For some of us, it has taken cycles of trying things our way, but when we surrender and combine faith with works, we see the increase – the harvest. Trust Him at His word. He is bound to His word. He never lies, and He never forsakes His children.
If you do not know Christ at an intimate level, seek Him. If you seek, you will find. If you ask, you will receive it. If you knock, the door will be opened according to His promises. There is nothing too hard for Him. Turn and repent while the invitation is open, He’s waited for you with His grace and mercy, but tomorrow is not promised, and we have decisions to make now for eternity. Whose side will you stand on?
