Meet the Pastor

Meet Pastor Cherry
Founder of Zion's Refuge

Rahegene A Cherry II, a child of the Most High Yahuah of the inheritance of Israel.  He is a powerful and anointed preacher, a prophetic voice of righteousness, and a dedicated leader of Zion's Refuge ministry, refuge, and Acts 2 community.  Pastor Cherry is a full-time pastor, missionary, and prolific counselor who finds his identity in Christ and knows what the Father has called him for in these last days.

He is not just a pastor but a dynamic youth speaker, a gifted faith-based music producer and vocalist, and a bible-based relationship and covenant marriage counselor.  Pastor Cherry's certification by man years ago has been surpassed by his anointing, calling, and sending by Yah (God) to teach His children the unadulterated commandment-keeping truths of Yah and the acceptance of the amazing love of Christ.

Pastor Cherry preaches the word in its fullness that to love Christ is to obey Him, love the orphan and the widow, and be unspotted from the world.  He teaches on relevant topics for today's age, growing closer to Yah, against sin, as defined by the bible, on righteousness, and the coming judgment.  His focus is not swayed by his audience, a building fund, financial giving, or the lack thereof.  He is moved by the voice of His Father, that he may one day hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Pastor Cherry, also known as Brother Cherry, is a loving covenant husband of 13 years to his wife and a birth father of two young boys and two teenage boys (through the adoption of rebirth by way of water baptism).  He strongly believes in becoming a father to the fatherless and takes his role of discipleship, overcoming negative statistics and limits, and turning boys into men seriously.

At the age of 12, Rahegene preached his first sermon on faith, and through life's lessons, storms, loss, and the years, his unwavering faith has been tested and proven. He uses his talents, testimony, victories over youthful sin, and history of success in football as a means to inspire, relate to, and influence youth to Christ.  He has an outgoing, fun, and compassionate personality, yet well-balanced with a strong demeanor against sin, and a seriousness for Christ.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Pastor Cherry has served at numerous churches as a youth leader, minister, prophetic voice, and evangelist for nearly 20 years.  He is currently serving in Mexico and the United States of America as he is called according to Isaiah 49:6.  Additionally, Pastor Cherry holds degrees in Theology and Church Ministry, with certifications in Counseling.  He is an ordained/certified Minister but holds his value and belief system solely on Yah's truth, not on an ever-evolving door of modern theology or tradition.  He lifts up his voice like a trumpet that souls might be saved, and their land might be healed according to the formula prescribed in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.
Isaiah 49:6

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
John 16:8-11

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Isaiah 58:1

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:27

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...

Matthew 16:15-16

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 11:15
